Matt Damon revealed filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey left the stars battered long after the cameras stopped rolling. “Well, a lot of us were middle-aged people,” he joked, saying weeks of running over stone streets in authentic sandals brought plenty of “back pain.” “Our feet were all scuffed up. But more than the little scratches and cuts on your feet, it was the back pain for us,” he said, calling the grueling shoot “a heavy Advil movie.”
To make matters worse, Nolan even discouraged actors from slipping into cozy slippers between takes to keep them immersed in the ancient world.
