Whoopi Lands Netflix Gig as The View Tightens Its Belt
Whoopi Goldberg may be headed to Netflix – but is The View about to be left talking to itself?
The TV legend has landed a role in Netflix’s Women Like Us alongside Vanessa Williams, Vivica A. Fox, and Jenifer Lewis, with filming set to begin this fall in New York – right as The View returns for Season 30.
Fans are thrilled, with one writing, “I’m so excited for this. Here. Have my money. I’m seated.” Another raved, “Oh this line up alone, count me IN.”
The gig also comes as The View reportedly faces budget cuts, from wardrobe reductions to a smaller set, though ratings are stronger than they’ve been in years. And don’t expect Whoopi to retire anytime soon: “Who can afford to do that?... I’ve got to keep paying those bills, baby.”
Sounds like she’s collecting checks, not goodbye cards.
Jared Fires Back at Criminal Sexual Conduct Allegations
Jared Leto is facing a Hollywood headache – and he’s calling foul.
The Oscar winner is pushing back after a new BBC documentary reignited allegations from multiple women involving alleged incidents between 2002 and 2016.
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false,” Leto, 54, said in a statement obtained by OK!
The documentary features allegations from four women, who claim they were teenagers at the time of the alleged incidents, including accusations of sexual assault, grooming and sexually explicit phone calls. Another woman also previously accused the actor of inappropriate behavior when she was 16.
Leto has flatly denied all the claims – and with the documentary putting his past back in the spotlight, this controversy doesn’t look like it’s fading anytime soon.
Kaia Gets Dragged for 'Terrible' Acting in New Series
Kaia Gerber’s latest role is already taking heat... and the show’s not even out yet.
The model-turned-actress is facing a wave of online backlash after a sneak peek of FX’s The Shards left critics unimpressed.
After Gerber delivered just one line, viewers piled on, with one writing, “Kaia Gerber bad acting. And it’s only 25 seconds omg.” Others were even harsher, calling her performance “terrible” and “emotionless.”
One critic wrote, “It’s so possible for nepo babies to be good actors (Maude Apatow, Lily Rose Depp, Zoë Kravitz, etc.), but sometimes nepo babies are just bad at acting like this OMG,” while another added, “I didn’t think it would be this bad. How can she make zero improvement despite having every resource in the world?”
Looks like Kaia’s toughest critics showed up before premiere night.
Epstein's Green Card Scheme Exposed in Explosive Email
Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged green card scheme was anything but traditional.
Newly uncovered emails claim the disgraced financier encouraged then-girlfriend Dr. Karyna Shuliak to marry a woman so she could stay in the U.S. “I think it’s time you found an american girlfriend,” Epstein allegedly wrote in a 2013 email. “Same s-- marriage will be the fastes [sic] way to green card. by far.”
Shuliak, whose student visa had expired, reportedly married a woman later that year and became a U.S. citizen in 2018 before the marriage ended.
A House committee report described the union as “illusory” and alleged the woman was “forced” into the arrangement to help Shuliak avoid deportation.
Shuliak has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
Heidi's Tiny Bikini Moment Is Turning Heads at 53
Heidi Klum is still the queen of the bikini.
The supermodel, 53, turned up the heat by slipping into a tiny black string bikini for a sun-soaked boat day, showing off her toned figure as fans flooded the comments with praise.
“You have never been so stunning and beautiful as you are now! You are glowing,” one admirer wrote, while another declared, “To look that stunning at age 53 is incredibly remarkable! Like an expensive fine-aging wine.”
Klum’s sizzling snaps come just weeks after she revealed she’s ditched Hollywood’s obsession with staying ultra-thin. “I’ve gained weight over the years. I’m no longer a size 24 jean. But I think with age, we look better when we’re not as skinny,” she said, crediting husband Tom Kaulitz for helping her embrace her curves.
Safe to say, she’s got the last laugh.
