‘No One Silences Us,’ Whoopi Snaps as The View Finally Comments on Kimmel Suspension
Whoopi Goldberg finally broke her silence on ABC’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel over his comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination – and she didn’t hold back.
“Now look – did y’all really think we weren't going to talk about Jimmy Kimmel?” and “Have you watched the show over the last 29 seasons? So you know no one silences us,” Whoopi said on The View.
She noted they “took a breath to see if Jimmy was going to say anything about it first, we did the same thing with Stephen Colbert,” then blasted outside pressure: “The government can not, can not apply pressure to force someone to be silenced… It's not up to [FCC Chair] Brendan Carr. It is not,” and shot at the president: “I don't understand how you are the man in charge of the nation and you still don't understand how the first amendment works.”
Ana Navarro added, “The part that is so ironic to me, is how the horrible, senseless assassination of Charlie Kirk – a man I disagree with – who stood for debate, who stood for freedom of speech, is being used to silence people and cancel people,” warning that “the government itself is using its weight and power to bully and scare people into silence.”
Yesterday, ABC announced Jimmy Kimmel Live! would be returning tonight… so for now, the free-speech panic has cooled.

The Today co-anchor gushed about his long run and tight-knit crew, telling OK!,
“People have said to me, 'Oh, this must be a dream job.' I say, 'No, because I never dreamt that I would be on the Today show.' I'm a kid from Queens, N.Y. I still own the house I grew up in, and to be part of something that is so much a part of America is still kind of mind-boggling. To be a part of a show that had Barbara Walters, Hugh Downs, Tom Brokaw, Jane Pauley, Bryant Gumbel and more. It's the who's who of television broadcast journalists.
He added, “My mentor Willard Scott was on it. I also get to work with Craig [Melvin], Savannah [Guthrie], Jenna [Bush Hager], Dylan [Dreyer], Carson [Daly], Sheinelle [Jones]. We are like a family, but we love each other and we've got each other's backs.”
Off-camera, Roker’s chasing a childhood dream with Weather Hunters – a kid-friendly animated STEM series that turns meteorology into adventure.

Jon Bon Jovi is officially a grandpa – and he couldn’t be happier!
On Bunnie XO’s podcast, the rocker gushed about son Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown’s newly adopted baby girl. “It’s crazy, but great. Wonderful,” he said. “They adopted a girl, we met the baby obviously and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? Your baby. It’s beautiful.”
The two recently introduced their little girl on Instagram, writing: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption… in both peace and privacy.”
Already hooked, Bon Jovi laughed: “I want to see pictures, like, every other day. I’m that pain in the b--- guy already and, yeah, it’s cool.”

Engaged Zendaya & Tom Make a Rare London Cameo
Zendaya and Tom Holland just had a rare, swoon-worthy outing in London at the Posh Pub Quiz.
Tom was the quizmaster – tuxedo and all – handing out prizes (yes, including a round of golf with Spider-Man). Zendaya shimmered in a black mini while cheering for her fiancé, mingling, and of course – posing for photos.
“The Tom Holland Posh Pub Quiz for the @thebrotherstrust was one to remember!” Java Joy co-founder Laura Hope Whitaker wrote. “We hugged, we chatted, we sang & we tried (and lost) the pub quiz. But we got autographed spoons so I think we really won! We chatted with Tom, his family and met Zendaya.”
The pair quietly got engaged over the holidays, and when it comes to wedding plans, stylist Law Roach recently said they “haven’t even started” planning yet… also noting Zendaya is “working on so many movies” – she’s filming the next Dune – so “we have time.”
Law also teased she’d be “a secret bride.” No surprise – those two have been serving rom-com energy (quietly) from the start.
Brady Gets Blasted for Alleged ‘Kick Your Dog’ Slip
