ICE Plans $20M Spend on High-Tech 'Shock Gloves'
ICE is bringing the shock factor.
The agency plans to spend up to $20 million on high-tech G.L.O.V.E. devices that look like regular patrol gloves but can deliver up to 380 volts through direct contact.
“It’s immediate and sharp, and it will distract you. I call it like a bee sting,” expert John Peters said. Critics are already sounding alarms over the concealed switch. ACLU official Jenn Rolnick Borchetta called the gloves “a recipe for harm to the public.”
Officers would need special training, and guidelines prohibit using them as punishment for verbal defiance.

Karoline Leaves Trump Behind for Life With Her Young Kids
Karoline Leavitt is trading the White House podium for mom duty.
Trump announced his 28-year-old press secretary will step down at the end of August to spend more time with her two young children, calling her “one of my most trusted aides.”
Leavitt, who welcomed daughter Viviana in May, admitted returning to the demanding job changed her priorities.
“The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary,” she explained.

Prosecutors accuse the 21-year-old singer of killing 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez after she allegedly threatened to expose their relationship, which they claim began online when she was 11.
“This has been a parent’s worst nightmare, hearing the ghoulish details of how their child was killed, dismembered and left as trash,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said.
Celeste’s remains were discovered months later in the front trunk of D4vd’s Tesla. His attorney insists, “[He] did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez.” D4vd has pleaded not guilty and remains behind bars as the case heads toward trial.
