Lizzo is feeling good as hell after scoring a major legal victory.
The 38-year-old singer celebrated after all seven claims against her personally in former tour wardrobe designer Asha Daniels’ harassment and discrimination lawsuit were dismissed.
“It was all so shocking because I was being sued by someone who admittedly never met me,” Lizzo said. “I prayed for the truth to come out and thanks to my incredible lawyers, the truth has prevailed.”
Daniels sued in 2023, alleging she faced “racist and fatphobic comments,” sexual harassment and disability discrimination while working on Lizzo’s European tour. But the legal drama isn’t completely over: Daniels’ attorney stressed, “Lizzo’s company was not dismissed,” adding that the lawsuit remains active against her companies.
For Lizzo personally, though, this legal tune just ended on a high note.
