King Charles III, Queen Camilla and King Felipe VI Lead Engagements as Ex-Prince Andrew Is Taken Into Custody
Plus, Queen Máxima and Spain’s royals make high-profile appearances.
Europe’s royals were out in full force this week, balancing ceremony with community – and, in one case, crisis.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla stepped out in Barking to visit the Barking Learning Centre Community and Family Hub, while Queen Máxima spotlighted local initiatives in Purmerend and later supported vulnerable EU citizens in Amsterdam.
In Spain, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia presided over a major constitutional event and attended the In Memoriam Francisco Tomás y Valiente exhibition, with Letizia also championing the “Alliance for Wool.” Prince Nikolaos and Queen Anne-Marie attended the Athens Music Hall as the royal calendar stayed packed from London to Madrid to the Netherlands – while police officers gathered at Sandringham Estate as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was taken into custody.
