JACLYN: What was it like sharing your story on TV?

JOAN: It wasn’t my intention to talk about it so much, but it just came out naturally. I felt like anyone I might connect with deserved to know my story. Many people on the show had experienced loss, so it created a deeper connection. It ended up being something I shared nationally, but it felt right.

JACLYN: Are you glad you were open about it?
