MOLLY: Cynthia, it is such an honor to get to speak with you. You make women feel so beautiful, feminine and fun, which I feel is what we need in fashion right now. You’ve touched so many different generations of women. I was looking at pieces I own of yours and remembering when my mom bought me my first Cynthia Rowley bag years ago.

CYNTHIA: Thank you. It’s so funny – yesterday my team was looking at a lot of vintage Cynthia Rowley pieces that were on TV shows and different projects, and I was like, “Wow, I really have been doing this a long time.” I always say your closet is like a scrapbook. When you pull something out, you remember all the good times you had in it, or that your mom bought it for you, or it was for a special occasion.

MOLLY: You’ve been in the industry for decades and reinvented yourself so many times. How has your creative process changed over the years?
