Meghan Markle is getting mocked online after sharing a video of herself reading poetry – with critics calling the Duchess of Sussex a “poser.”
But supporters hit back, saying the reaction shows she’s scrutinized even for the most ordinary moments.
Markle, 44, recently posted a short Instagram clip showing herself reading The Bloom Because of You, a collection of poems about motherhood by New Zealand author Jessica Urlichs.
Filmed at her home in Montecito, California, the video showed Markle flipping through the pages on a sunny day and describing the book as “so good.”
The Duchess later commented that the book had been recommended by a “mom friend” and described it as her “current bedside book.”
