EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle's Glowing Royal Christmas Memories Resurface — And How It is 'Rubbing Salt in Wound' of Her Estrangement from Ill Father
Her past words about 'feeling like family' take on new meaning.
Meghan Markle’s fond memories of spending Christmas with the Royal Family have resurfaced as her estranged father spends the festive season recovering from his horrific leg amputation.
The Duchess of Sussex lapped up festivities with The Firm in 2017, with her reflections on them making her feel like “family” now emerging as her dad Thomas Markle Sr., 81, continues his recovery following his nightmare surgery.
Sources say the Duchess of Sussex’s past comments about the royals feeling like “a big family” are especially poignant amid the ongoing estrangement between father and daughter – which Markle imposed as punishment for Thomas staging paparazzi photos of himself ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry.
Markle and Harry, 41, first spent Christmas at Sandringham in 2017, before their engagement was publicly announced.
